Linking Audience Physiology to Choreography

چکیده

The use of wearable sensor technology opens up exciting avenues for both art and HCI research, providing new ways to explore the invisible link between audience performer. To be effective, such work requires close collaboration performers researchers. In this article, we report on co-design process research insights from our integrating physiological sensing live performance. We connection audience’s data their experience during performance, analyzing a multi-modal dataset collected 98 members. identify notable moments based HRV EDA, show how responses can linked choreography. longitudinal changes in features suggest strong choreographer’s intended narrative arc, while EDA appear correspond with short-term dramatic moments. discuss phenomena implications designing feedback systems interdisciplinary collaborations.

From Molecules to Ecosystems: Linking Physiology to Ecology

BIOPHYSICS, BIOENERGETICS AND MECHANISTIC APPROACHES TO ECOLOGY Biophysics – the study of how the structure of individual plants and animals contributes to their function – has rarely been considered on the ecological scale. However, Mark Denny from Stanford University, USA, has a broader vision. Because the mechanisms that underpin individual performance also play a part in ecological processe...

Mapping interconnection choreography models to interaction choreography models

Choreographies offer a global view on interacting processes. There are two ways to capture this global view: interaction models and interconnection models. Although there is a mapping from interaction models to interconnection models, there is no mapping vice versa. This paper fills this gap and provides a first approach mapping interconnection models to interaction models: The presented approa...

The physiology of willpower: linking blood glucose to self-control.

Past research indicates that self-control relies on some sort of limited energy source. This review suggests that blood glucose is one important part of the energy source of self-control. Acts of self-control deplete relatively large amounts of glucose. Self-control failures are more likely when glucose is low or cannot be mobilized effectively to the brain (i.e., when insulin is low or insensi...

Remapping Attention Pointers: Linking Physiology and Behavior.

Our eyes rapidly scan visual scenes, displacing the projection on the retina with every move. Yet these frequent retinal image shifts do not appear to hamper vision. Two recent physiological studies shed new light on the role of attention in visual processing across saccadic eye movements.
